Hey there, celluloids! Sorry for the lack of updates, a certain fan-favorite movie has been keeping me away…bleh. Anywho, I’ve got some updates for you all!
Joss Whedon’s Avengers television spin-off S.H.I.E.L.D. has added two more actors, Iain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge, to the show’s established stars Ming-Na, Colbie Smulders, Clark Gregg, and Samuel L. Jackson. We don’t know who the newcomers are playing yet, but stay tuned! Read more here.
It seems there will be two Steve Jobs biopics coming; he first, and almost finished film, is Joshua Michael Stern’s Jobs, starring Ashton Kutcher in the lead role. I’m not really taking this one seriously, as the talent just isn’t there. However, Aaron Sorkin is penning his own version, and he has a novel idea that I hope sees fruition:
“I hope I don’t get killed by the studio for giving too much away, but this entire movie is going to be three scenes, and three scenes only. That all take place in real time. Real time is when a half hour for you in the audience is the same as a half hour for the character on the screen, there will be no time cuts and each will take place before a product launch. Backstage before a product launch. The first one being the Mac, the second one being NeXT after he had left Apple and the third one being the iPod.”
It seems that this would result in three unbroken 3o-minute scenes. Call me crazy, but that sounds very interesting, and if pulled off right, could be a very memorable film. Read more here.
